Rolfslake Open Day

Jon Walker on hand to help visitors catch fish

As John had no matches booked for Saturday 22nd August he decided to host an open day at the lake.
With such short notice and little advertising John was not sure how many would turn up but still went ahead with it.
John also Got a shout out on Keith Arthur's Fisherman Blues Radio show.

Rolfslake expert Jon Walker was on hand to give demonstrations on how to get the carp to bite.
Gem might have a serious competitor for the top lady angler at Rolfs, Millie aged 7 managed to land a 19 lb'er and continue to catch about 150lb of carp. She was using Jon's gear to catch her new PB.
Well done Millie I'm sure you made your dad quite jealous...

There are some pictures but we are waiting to get those. We will post them when we receive them and add a little bit more to this report.

Hopefully John will host another open day with a bit more advertising next time as I'm sure it would have been a good day out with the chance to learn a lot.

Please note... There will not be an Open Match this Wednesday (26th August) as John has a private lake booking that day. Normal service will resume the week after. Thank You.
