Wednesday 19th August Open Match

Jon Walker Rolfslake’s big weight master

When John got to the lake this morning he discovered an Algae Bloom on the large lake but with a strong South Westerly wind blowing on the lake the algae all gathered on the side of the lake.
John spent the next 2 hour removing it with a dustpan and a bucket to get the lake ready for the Match.

With the weather been bright and sunny today along with that wind blowing across the lake things seemed spot on for a good match.

15 anglers turned up hoping the lake was going to fish better than previous weeks.
They were not to be disappointed either with the lower weights exceeding Friday nights winners weight.

Top Results.

Jon Walker Peg 16 370-8
Gary K Peg 26 239-12
Mick Lane Peg 4 188-0
Steve Ridge Peg 8 181-8
Pete Arnold Peg 18 180-0
Micky Dene Peg 6 177-12
Phil Powell Peg 40 171-8
Paul Jay Peg 32 160-4
Derek Hammond Peg 2 158-4

Jon Walker fished on the deck using hard pellet to put together an astounding weight.
Anglers that had a slight ripple on the water seemed to be catching better than others.

John Bennett strongly thinks that the change in wind direction has brought the fishing back up to the normal standards of Rolfslake.
Thanks for reading.
